This 1 hour a week program is a very intense class that will push players to challenge themselves through skills and drills improving both balance and edge control.
The small class size of this program allows for a lot of individual attention. Focus is on proper technique, edge control and maximum efficiency.
After skating, puck control skills are the most important skills in hockey. Having the ability to pass the puck right onto the stick of your teammate’s stick or carry the puck past a defender is what separates the good players from the great players.
This 1h 30min a week program is open to adults at all ability levels. 15-30 minutes is open ice to be used for Power Skating and Stickhandling skills. The last 60 minutes is for playing hockey in a 4v4 game. This program is a lot of fun and the improvement the “older” players make is incredible.

The Spartans Hockey Club, formerly Paramus Hockey, was established in the spring of 2013. The goal was to provide basic skating and ice hockey instruction to Paramus kids at a reasonable price in hopes of creating a youth ice hockey program.
Spartan Hockey Club Clinics are designed as an introduction to the sport of Ice Hockey. Skaters grades K-8 participate in the clinics with many skaters being on the ice for the first time. The clinics are conducted in a competitive environment where kids can learn the game of ice hockey without the pressure of league or team play. The participants of the clinics are grouped based on their ability level and progress at their own speed.
Spartans Hockey Club fields house league teams at all age levels in Spring and Fall at local ice rinks. The teams consist of new players, house league players as well as experienced travel hockey players seeking extra ice and game opportunities. Spartans Hockey Club provides additional practice time at Fritz Dietl for all teams. In most cases, players can expect to practice once per week and play one game per weekend during the season. Information about our leagues will be posted on our website at least six weeks before the start of a season. All roster spots are reserved on a first come basis.
